The structure of our lessons are as follows with some variations to meet student requirements.
The class bow in to Instructor.
Warm up and Gentle stretching.
Kicking and hand techniques (without a partner).
Pattern work (martial art moves in sequence without a partner).
Step sparring (attack and defence moves in sequence with a partner). Self defence (restraining techniques and how to release from a grab or hold with a partner). Light contact free sparing wearing safety equipment (after training for a year and having reached the level of Green Belt).
Shield and pad power and accuracy work.
Board breaking (optional).
Class to bow out to the Instructor.
