White Tiger Tae Kwon-Do Newsletter : February 2016
We have got off to a good start this year with lots of new members joining us. Our annual New Year bowling night at Welling borough was well attended. If belts were awarded for bowling skills I would still be a yellow belt! Check out our website for photos of the night
Tae Kwon-Do Explosion Tournament – Results
Three gold, three silver and one Bronze medal were won at the Taekwon-do explosion tournament at Lutterworth. Only one Moulton member competed, but well done Leanne. You have to be in it to win it. Our next tournament will be held here at Moulton on Sat 19th March, so no excuses for not entering.
Black Belt Training
This month’s Black belt training will be at Moulton on Thu 11th. After colour belt training.
Grading – 28th Feb
The next grading will be held at Moulton on Sun 28th Feb Moulton Primary school hall. 11am to 12.30pm beginners up to green tag. 12.30 pm to 2pm green belt to black tag. A Black Belt grading will follow from 2pm to 3pm approx.
Recently a lot of members are turning up late for training after 7pm. This disrupts the start of the lesson. I know parents have to get back from work. Sometimes you get stuck in traffic and other thing cause delays. Would running the classes from 7.15pm be more convenient? Please let me know you views. It is good to see new members at the club. The first three lessons are free to all. At the end of the first lesson you will be given our membership form to fill in if you want to continue training. The £30 annual registration-insurance must be given in on the fourth lesson. This works out at just under 58p per week for NAKMAS our Governing body administration. We do offer reduced training prices for siblings and family members. As we have a grading shortly after the school half term break Mon 15th to 19th. I will run normal classes during the break if enough members want to train. Please let me know.
Lynne Allen will no longer be training with us as she is to take up the position of Madam Mayoress of Northampton. This will obviously take up a lot of her time. Having trained with me for many years she will be missed very much. Lynne will continue to be our licencing officer, child safety, protection and health and safety person. She intends to turn up at the club from time to time. I am sure that we all wish her the best of success in her new role.
As mentioned at the start of this newsletter new members are always welcome. So encourage a friend to join and tell them that the first three lessons are free introductory to see if the like Taekwon-Do. Visit our website for information and resources.
